订单最常用12句英文表达法

到了订货这个环境,应该离成功不远了,我们与客户之间的交易快要完成了。

1. We'd like to order your products. We'll send our official order today.

     我们想订你们的货,今天会寄上正式的订单。

2. Did you get our order for your telephones?

你是否收到了我们订电话机的订单?

3. We've noticed that your orders have been falling off lately, haven't you?

我们发现贵公司的订单最近逐渐减少了,对吗?

4. That's because we have switched to made-up goods market.

那是因为我们转向成衣生意的缘故。

5. Is there anything I can book for you now?

目前有什么我可以代您订购的吗?

最新美语流行语手册:实用商务五句详解

1.a buyer’s market 买方市场

market在这里是“行情”的意思。买方市场是有利于购买者的行情。与之相对的是a seller’s market(卖方市场)。

    A: Have you bought the house? 你已买房子了吗?

B: I don’t know how to choose it. There are a lot of apartments on sale. 我不知道该怎么办,那么多房子,眼都挑花了。

A: It is a buyer’s market, you know. 现在是买方市场嘛!

2.a country mile 一段很长的距离

该习语多用在美国口语中,名词country有“农场”的意思。在美国,由于科技比较发达,农场往往都很大。这些农场总能给人以辽阔、遥远之感。故该习语用country来指“距离之远”。

A: Is the house close to the central city? 那房子*着市中心吗?

B: It is a country mile from the Central Park. But it won’t be a problem since you drive. 离中央公园远着呢。可既然你开车这就不成问题了。

A: The distance is not really a problem. The real problem is whether I can afford it. 远近到不是问题,问题是我是不是买得起。

B: Don’t worry about it. It’s a real bargain. 不用担心,很便宜的。

3.a drug on the market 滞销商品,滞销货,供应过剩的商品

drug 的本义是“麻醉药品”,而麻醉药品是不能在市场上公开出售的,因此该词常常用来指“滞销货”。

A: The things my son bought home were usually a drug on the market for adults. 我儿子买回来的东西在咱们眼里都是卖不出去的。

B: That’s not abnormal for a youngster. Young people all seems to be crazy about such things. 这对年轻来说没什么不正常的。年轻人看起来对这些东西都非常感兴趣。

A: The real problem is that he’s suing my money for them. 问题是他那我的钱去买的呀。

B: He’s your son, after all. Who else’s money do you suppose him to use? 他毕竟是你的儿子呀。你想让他拿谁的钱去买呢

4.a fair shake 公平的待遇

shake 在口语中有“处置、对待”的意思。当fair的意思为“公平的”时,这个短语的意思是“顺利的、有意的”时,它的意思就是“好机会”。

A: Bob, can you ever make a thing right? 鲍勃,你就不能做对一件事吗?

B: Yes, I can and I am doing the right thing. 我能,而且我现在干的就是对的。

A: You should go and see how Allan handles it. 你真该去看看阿伦是怎么干活的。

B: It’s that Allen again! Why can’t you ever think of giving me a fair shake? 又是阿伦!你怎么就不能对我公平点?

5.a fat chance 微小的机会

fat本是“很多”的意思,但在这里用了反意,表示“微小的机会”;表示同样意义的短语还有a fat lot,指“很少”。

A: What do you think of his plan? 你觉得他的方案如何?

B: I have a feeling that is it doomed to fail. 我感觉它注定要失败。

A: Why don’t you vote against him? 干吗不投票否决他的提议?

B: It’s a fat chance of voting out his suggestion. 这不大可能。

办公室文秘用英语书写数字需要注意

在平时办公过程当中,特别是作为办公室的文秘在英语写作中,经常会遇到数字;哪些场合用单词表示,哪些场合用阿拉伯数字表示,往往使人难以确定,现行语法书中也极少涉及此类问题。实际上,以英语为母语的国家,在书写数字时已形成几条约定俗成的规则,现总结如下供读者参考。

一、英美等国的出版社在排版时遵循一条原则,即1至10用单词表示,10以上的数目用阿拉伯数字(也有的以100为界限),这条原则值得我们行文时借鉴。

Eg. That table measures ten feet by five.

那个工作台长10英尺,宽5英尺。

Eg. The traditional pattern of classroom experience at the college level brings the professor and a group of 20 to 30 students together for a 45-to-50-minute class session two or three times a week.

由一个教授和十名学生每周会晤两三次,每次授课时间45到50分钟,是大学程度课堂教学的传统方式。

二、人数用阿技伯数字表示显得更简洁明了,但不定数量、近似值用单词表示较恰当。

Eg. There are 203817 voters on the electoral rolls.

选举名单上有203817个投票人。

Eg. Nearly thirty thousand voters took part in this election.

近3万个投票人参加了这次选举。

三、遇到日期、百分比、带单位的特殊数字,通常用阿拉伯数字。

Eg. Maximum swivel of table is l20.

工作台的最大回转角度是120度。

Eg. 3rd March l991或3 March l991;

a discount of 5 percent(5%的折扣);

Eg. purchased 7 yards of carpet

(买7码地毯);

Eg. ordered 2 pounds of minced steak

(订购2磅剁碎的肉)。

四、如果涉及的数目和单位是不定数,可用单词表示。

Eg. about five miles per hour

(每小时大约5英里)

Eg. at least ten yards away

(至少有10码远)

Eg. hesitated for a moment or two

(犹豫了片刻)

Eg. I have warned you a hundred times

(我已经警告你多少遍了)。

五、在科技文章中,数字频繁出现,用阿拉伯数字比用单词陈述更有利。

Eg. The new engine has a capacity of 4.3 litres and a power out-put of 153 kilowatts at 4400 revolutions per minute.


这台新发动机的容积为4.3升,转速为每分钟4400转时输出功率是153千瓦。

Eg. We know that the weight of a cubic foot of air at 0oC and 76cm,pressure is 0.08l pound, or 12 cubic feet of air weigh a pound.

我们知道,1立方英尺的空气在0摄氏度和760毫米汞柱压力下,重量是0.81磅,也就是说12立方英尺空气的重量是1磅。

六、句首不用阿拉伯数字,句末要尽量避免用阿拉伯数字。

Eg. 4th July is an important date in American history.

应该写成The fourth of July...

Eg. 19 couples took part in the ballroom dancing competition.

19对选手参加了交际舞比赛。

应改写成:Nineteen couples took...

Eg. 60%profit was a reported.

据报道有60%的利润。

应改写成:Sixty per cent profit…

Eg. 1345 kilograms force was applied at the center point of the bar.

试验时在杆的中点加1345公斤力。

可改成When tested, a force of l345 kg was applied...

七、遇到分数,可用带连字符号的单词表示。

Eg. At 1east two-thirds of the class have had colds.

这个班至少有三分之二的学生患重感冒。

Eg. Nitrogen forms about four-fifths of the atmosphere.

氮约占大气的五分之四。

怎样得体地结束外商电话一些惯用的表达辞句

用电话同外商交谈时,由于只能听到对方的声音而看不到对方的表情或姿态。因此,要想结束同他们的电话交谈,事先记住一些惯用的表达辞句,就显得极为重要的。大致分为以下几种情况:

1、如果打电话的人非常熟悉,可以说一句来结束通话:

      Is there anything else I can do for you?

( 还 有 什 么 我 可 以 帮 忙 的 吗 ? )

2、如果你认识对方家人不太熟悉的话,不妨加上这样的问候:

Say hello to your folks. ( 请 代 向 你 家 人 问 安 。 ) 这样会增进彼此的情谊。

3、如果你答应给别人传话,可以说:

Then I’ll make sure he gets your message.

( 我 一 定 会 转 达 您 的 话 。 )

4、如果接待的是你的客户,也可以使用一些惯用的客套话,比如:

Thank you for calling.

( 谢 谢 您 打 电 话 来 。 )

Nice talking to you.
